The non-profit association ANIMA ETICA was dissolved in 2015.
The founders have chosen to keep its Websites and social media as a testimonial:
to give inspiration and, in spirit with its statute, lasting life and voice to the work accomplished.
It is also a tribute to the commitment of the volunteers who have contributed to making it happen.

The aim is to “keep history alive”
to preserve the memory of “those who were there”,
and lived it, and to support those who keep on
                    building a better future today.

The “CPT”
(Comissão Pastoral da Terra –
Pastoral Land Commission)
is a body connected to the Brazilian Episcopal Conference,
40 years in the field.
In Brazil,
the agrarian reform, promised since 1946
has not yet been implemented.
Its enactment is slow and debated.
Economic interests hinder its realization
and prevent five million families
from independently taking care of their own welfare.
The absence of an agrarian reform
is the basis of much of the suffering
of the Brazilian population.
The concentration of land,
owned by big landowners,
means concentration of wealth
in the hands of a few.
For this,
the “CPT” is committed to promoting
the implementation of an agrarian reform
through information,
public awareness and sensitization campaigns
that encourage conscious participation
of the local and international population.
The supported actions
range from the fight for land,
the support of family farming,
the protection of the environment,
to the campaign for the eradication of slave labour
(44,000 slave workers freed from 1995 to 2012 and 2,242 in 2013),
and the fight against the use of GMOs.
